Description
On Nigerian Decca and recorded at EMI's state of the art Lagos studio - great upfront tough sound with elements of Soul/Reggae with an intrinsic African quality hard to extrapolate on. Stereo, on very heavy vinyl. The lead off track We Dey Find Money can be heard here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLO4ayv6Tx8 that is the only instrumental, vocals for rest include the Nigerian hit Suck It To Me and Mo Lowo Ni Bank (side one) Kilibe/OjoSi Wa Osoka Onyaa/Ajambene (side two)
Condition: shine still on the vinyl, a few light scratches both sides but one feelable one runs from halfway through track one A side (We Dey Find) to near the end of Suck It To Me. Due to the deep grooves this plays only as a fairly light "tick' throughout the length of the track - I have listened to the whole album on my best system and it is enjoyable - not much surface noise, just occasional light pops/clicks - because of the feel scratch A side is VG- but flip a definite VG+ or better.
Cover - light flimsy original has some minor creasing around edges, ring grime on back in particular, a few light stains in spots, a 3" split at opening side bottom spine - ALL other spines intact, a pin mark (from wall hang?) through O in Royal and a few frays on opening side.
All up pretty remarkable condition for a Nigerian top party album!! Cannot find one of these ever selling online and it contains this popular artist at his peak! Happy bidding, any Q's ask away!
