ERICA « You Used To Think ». Ultra rare Original US LP. It's the greatest of all the excellent ESP Folk releases !!! Even the vinyl reissue of this one from a few years back is difficult to locate, originals hardly turn up at all !!! "You Used To Think" is a Free-Folk cornerstone that has no rivals. It builds up from the slower title-track and gets wilder with every track. It uses bongos, sitar, indian ragas, flutes, jazz and folk to cook up one hell of a Psychedelic-stew that's beeing spiced up by Pomerance's unique voice that moves through the songs like a three-wheel car out of control, skipping into French (she's Canadian) at times then back into english quiverings that can only be matched by Diamanda Galas, Patty Waters or Yoko Ono. Apparently side 2 has been recorded on LSD "to free the spirits" but out of it came no lame chill-out doodelings of druged out guitarists, but ono of the top high-energy acid-folk masterpieces of the known universe! Not just a masterpiece, more like a revelation to the right set of ears !!! (9 tracks)
