Eric's Trip had the unlikely honour of being the first of a wave of Canadian band's to get themselves picked up by Seattle's Sub Pop. Formed in 1990 the product the very fertile music scene surrounding the small province of Moncton, and named for the track by NY's Sonic Youth. Principly formed by vocalist/guitarist Rick White and guitarist Chris Thompson who were working together on a project entitled The Forest they recruited vocalist/bassist Julie Doiron-Claytor and there after were joined by Purple Knight drummer Mark Gaudet before officially taking on the Eric's Trip (they took their name from a Sonic Youth song) moniker. They debuted the band shortly after on a self released and self titled cassette release.
Central to the band's success was the central boy/girl vocal sparrings of Rick White and Julie Doiron-Claytor; a sound which drew immediate comparrisons to Yo La Tengo. Also in key to their sound was a healthy dollop of noise informed pop of Sonic Youth and even further back to The Velvet Underground as well as that of contemporary bands around at that time like Pavement and Sebadoh. This is their second album, after the 1993 debut "Love Tara".

The records I'm listing now or I'm going to list are from my personal collection (so all the vinyls are in NM/EX condition, while the sleeves could have signs of their age). Anyway I'll try to well describe all their flaws.

VINYL GRADING :

• Mint (M) record new and/or unplayed.
• NearMint (NM) record in beautiful shape.
• Excellent (EX) if there's a flaw on the sleeve or vinyl, it's very minor and is still a great copy.
• Very Good (VG) the sleeve has minor shop wear, is creased and/or shows a ring impression; while the vinyl shows some signs of handling.
• Good (G) the record is used but not abused.The sleeve shows multiple flaws (seam split, ring wear), while the vinyl may have some surface noise (no skips or pops) and shows small scratches that don't affect the sound.
• Fair (F) the sleeve shows a lot of flaws(seam splits, ring wears), while the vinyl shows loads of surface noise and scratches or other defects.
