RECORD DESCRIPTION
Extremely rare first recording of the famous German marching song ERIKA!
Original authentic 78rpm record, released in Berlin, January 1939!
Singing and brass orchestra by Reichsmusikzug Des Reichsarbeitsdienstes!
Very hard to find a copy nowadays, especially with the original sleeve!
Reichsmusikzug Des Reichsarbeitsdienstes was a German marching band of the Reich Labor Service, which was under the direction of Herms Niel and was active in the musical field of propagandistic march music. Reichsmusikzug played during the Nazi party rallies, also their performances were heavily broadcasted on the radio. Performances abroad included all of the countries occupied by the German Reich, such as Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Norway and Hungary.
RECORD CONDITION E- (Some lighter signs of use, no deep scratches or other defects! Seems that the Erika side has been more popular, other side is close to excellent! Light groove wear visible, both sides play still great, no major clicks or pops during playback, have a listen to audio rips below! Comes with rare original Tempo record sleeve just as it was sold in 1939!)
