One of the most iconic and collectible World War II-era German 78rpm records - original 1939 Electrola issue featuring the famous “Erika” march by Herms Niel, performed by Blasorchester B. Winkler. Both songs with singing!
A-side: “Erika”
The legendary soldier’s march known across generations, composed and written by Herms Niel.
B-side: “Es ist so schön, Soldat zu sein, Rosemarie”
Another uplifting Niel composition, full of melody and marching rhythm.

Side “Erika” is excellent with just a few light, non-feelable marks - plays superbly loud and clear with bright tone and no distortion. Side “Es ist so schön, Soldat zu sein, Rosemarie” shows a few short needle marks that have no audible impact. Both sides deliver powerful, clear audio typical of Electrola’s top-quality wartime pressings.
Comes with the original Electrola company sleeve, perfectly matching the record’s era and in great shape.
