Description

Up for auction is a nice, clean copy of the Ernie Henry album "Last Chorus" released on Riverside Records (12-266) in 1958.  This is an authentic, original mono deep groove first pressing.  Correct large blue and silver "microphone" labels with deep groove running through bottom of microphone, and no "Inc." after Bill Grauer Productions.  Correct 553 West 51st Street, New York, 19, N.Y. address on back cover.  Fantastic session that includes Lee Morgan, Benny Golson, Kenny Dorham, and Thelonious Monk.
Cover is in great shape.  No noticeable ring wear.  Lamination is beautiful with no bubbles, lifts, or separations.  Nice high gloss shine.  Corners are sharp, though bottom two have very tiny rubs, barely noticeable in the photos.  Seams are strong, intact, no cracking, no flaking, no splits.  Back cover is clean, bone white, as it should be.  No ring wear, no writing, no age discoloration or spotting.  I'd grade the cover Near Mint Minus (NM-).
The vinyl is also in beautiful condition.  No obvious scratches, scuffs, or marks to speak of.  Retains its original high gloss shine.  Labels are clean and bright.  Perhaps some very faint signs in run-out of disc having been taken in and out of paper inner sleeve a few times.  Play tested, the record sounds clean and clear, beautiful full-bodied mono sound.  Not audiophile perfect play back, but it is one of the nicer 50s original pressings to listen to.  No real audio distractions.  I'd grade the vinyl Near Mint Minus (NM-)

One of the nicest copies of this record that I've come across.  Very nice.

100% guaranteed, no risk buying.  Money back, no questions asked.  My 100% positive feedback on records speaks for itself.  Buy with confidence.  No surprises.
