Experience one of the most dramatic presentations in recording history, "New World", depicted by the young prodigy Istvan Kertesz at the tender age of 32, along with the renowned Vienna Philharmonic.
A Celebrated Debut with Decca by Maestro Kertesz
This acclaimed album was first released in 2008 as part of the Esoteric Super Audio CD Hybrid series (ESSD-90015) and made available as a vinyl record (ESLP-10002) in 2009. Now, after 14 years, it is being re-released on vinyl for the second time.
Iconic Recording at Sofiensaal - The Birthplace of Decca Sound
The recording was made at the famed Sofiensaal, known for its brilliant timpani, radiant brass, and the distinctive sounds of the Viennese oboe and clarinet. The string sections, particularly the richly layered lower strings, are silky yet thick, recreated in vivid three-dimensionality. Nearly half a century after its recording, the captivating clarity of this sound has not faded.
Presenting the Vinyl Record in the Best Possible Condition
For this vinyl production, a new master was created specifically for the record from the original master. An intricate "Esoteric Mastering" was used for the mastering process, along with ESOTERIC's top-notch equipment, the Master Sound Discrete DAC and Master Sound Discrete Clock. In addition, we generously employed MEXCEL cables to aim for a thorough improvement in sound quality.
