LP : Et Cetera – Lady Blue ( = Same, 1971 )

German pressing on BRAIN / GLOBAL Records And Tapes, 0040.177, ca. 1980 Previously released in 1971 as "Et Cetera" on Global 6306 901. Recorded in at Orange Recording Studios LTD, London, December 1970, ca. 1 year after the Wolfgang Dauner Group recorded the „Rischka's Soul“ album of wich I also offer a BRAIN edition in my current auctions. Absolutely unique and radical album mixing psychedelic jazz & krautrock with avantgarde, ethnic & free elements and more. Trippy sounds all over, both electronic and acoustic, e.g. Schwab's exotic instruments like the sitar, sarang or the veena. Elaborated parts alternate with improvised sequences, quieter parts blend with wild percussive grooves, a female choir seems to come out of nowhere and is followed by an acoustic 12-string guitar... but somehow all this fits together quiet naturally resulting in a strange total work of art. Call it experimental progrock, avantgarde-fusion or whatever – but don't miss it !

Condition: the record looks & plays in mint-. The cover shows just a hint of slightest shelfwear, all seams/spine are intact with just a hint of slightest rub in a few spots, front & back are absolutely fine, there's a tiny cut-out in the lower left corner, there's a pricsticker ( probably removable with lighter fuel ) on the upper left front ; overall ex+.

Zustand: die LP ist optisch & akkustisch in mint-. Das Cover hat nur ganz leichte Lagerspuren, alle Kanten sind intakt mit ganz leichtem Abrieb an einigen wenigen Stellen, Vorder- & Rückseite sind sehr schön erhalten, in der linken unteren Ecke ist ein kleiner “cut-out”, vorne links oben ist ein Preisaufkleber ( wahrscheinlich mittels Feuerzeugbenzins zu entfernen ); insgesamt in ex+. alle Platten habe ich professionell gereinigt und angehört (meist ganz, manchmal in Ausschnitten). Kommen mit neuer Außen- & Innenhülle !

Grading & Cleaning:

  • the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

  • after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

  • I also visually graded the record in daylight, in normal artificial light & under a strong halogen lamp

  • only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg

  • cleaned records are stored in a new pro innersleeve and they are placed in a PVC protection-sleeve
