Description

A remarkably excellent copy of an HMV Ethiopia JOE series issued in 1955 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Emperor Haile Selassie. Often , if these records are found at all they are in extremely poor condition.

The series ran to 67 sides released over a five year period  but no discography has evidence of many. This particular disc JOE5 is elusive to all my efforts at online sleuthing and is , with every respect,a particularly startling piece of Ethiopian music. Exotically alien but full of  familiar hints to the  modern music buffs ear

Truly a treasurable disc that would enhance any serious collection.

All 78s are securely packaged in card ,bubble wrap and sent in a doubleskin box filled with packing peanuts. Up to 4 may be sent for the same postage within the UK.
