DESCRIPTION
Etta Jones - “Lonely And Blue” Prestige Records PRLP 7241 (Mono) from 1962. Classic Vocal Jazz Album from Etta Jones. On the Original Deep Groove Yellow and Black Confetti / Fireworks Prestige label! Players include Patti Bowen, Wally Richardson, Art Davis, Bud Johnson, George Duvivier and Ed Shaugnessy. Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder. “VAN GELDER” Machine Stamped in the run-off Vinyl as well as “AB” and “ZA1” - I think this indicates a First Pressing - both Hand Etched. Bergenfield, N.J. address on both labels and cover.
CONDITION
The Sleeve shows a slight bit of ring and edge shelf wear and a touch of corner softening. There are a couple notations written in pencil in the upper left corner on the back - could easily be erased. Still very solid with no splits, stains, tears, other writing, etc. and I would rate it as VG+. The Vinyl itself is in Glossy condition looking like it was not played that much at all. If you look closely you can find a couple light sleeve scuffs but still very clean and should rate EX. The labels show a couple light spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
