DESCRIPTION
Etta Jones and Strings - “So Warm” Prestige Records PRLP 7204 (Mono) from 1961. Classic Vocal Jazz Album from Etta Jones with Arrangements and Conducting by Oliver Nelson. On the Original Deep Groove Yellow Confetti / Fireworks Prestige label! Though not credited on the cover, players include Mal Waldron, Jerome Richardson, Charlie Persip, George Duvivier, Phil Bodner and more. Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder. “RVG” Machine Stamped in the run-off Vinyl as well as “AB” Hand Etched. Bergenfield, N.J. address on both labels and cover.
CONDITION
The Sleeve shows a bit of ring and edge shelf wear and a touch of corner softening. There is a name written on the top center of the back and a small “X” in the upper right corner of the back. Still very solid with no splits, stains, tears, other writing, etc. and I would rate it as VG+. The Vinyl itself is in Glossy condition looking like it was not played that much at all. If you look closely you can find some light sleeve scuffs and light hairlines but still very clean. I’d call it a good VG+ visually but for the vast majority it plays pretty much perfectly, at least EX if not Near Mint with the exception of a couple spots where there is some slight noise - not really even loud enough to be called “tics” or “pops” but a bit of noise. Put it this way, I’ve heard many new records that are not as good. The labels are Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
