Die Patte wurde vielleicht 2 mal abgespielt hat keine Gebrauchspuren und ist in allerbester Verfassung! Das Ding is wie neu und stammt von 1971 !!! ----------------------------------------------Eulenspygel war eine der ersten Gruppen in Deutschland, die es wagte, von englischsprachigen auf deutschsprachige Stücke umzusteigen. Die Texte stellten Staat und Gesellschaft in Frage. Mit Farbheft von 32 Seiten. ------------------------------------------------Eulenspygel were one of the first German bands who dared to change from English to German lyrics. Diese Sprache war damals allein dem Schlager vorbehalten, und so hatte man verständlicherweise Bedenken, in dessen seichte Nähe gerückt zu werden. Doch der Versuch glückte, wie man auf ihrem Erstlingswerk "Eulenspygel 2" hören kann, damals als erste Platte auf Spiegelei erschienen."2" hieß sie deshalb, weil die besetzungsgleiche Vorläufergruppe Royal Servants 1970 bereits die LP "We" herausgebracht hatte. Nach dem Umstieg auf deutsche Stücke nannte man sich dann folgerichtig nach Till Eulenspiegel in Eulenspygel um, um Gesellschaft und Staat mit klugen und aufrüttelnden Fragen den Spiegel vorzuhalten. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Eulenspygel were one of the first bands in the early 1970s to risk the change from English to German lyrics. Only mainstream pop songs were in German, and people were afraid of becoming associated with that sort of shallow music. But the band succeeded as can be seen from the quality of their first record "Eulenspygel 2", the first record to be published on the Spiegelei label from Stuttgart. The number "2" in the title was due to the fact that the band’s predecessor, Royal Servants, had already released an LP entitled "We" in 1970 featuring the same line-up. As a consequence of the change from English to German lyrics, the band named itself after the German wag Till Eulenspiegel in order to make society and state look into the mirror by posing intelligent and inciting questions.
