The Original Orpheans Band plays a hot arrangement of "Heut' war ich bei der Frieda" on Homocord 4-2622. It's a starry aggregation: Frank Guarente, Max Goldberg (tp); Tony Thorpe (tb); Billy Barton (cl,ts); Charles Remue, Eddie Bare (as,cl); Teddy Sinclair (vln,ldr); George Hurley, Cyril Hellier (vln); Carroll Gibbons (p,ldr); Frank Herbin (2nd p); Bert Thomas (g,bj); Walter Richard "Tiny" Stock (tu,b); Laurie Huntington (d). On the other side, Fred Bird and the Salon Symphonic Jazzband play "Trink, trink, Brüderlein, trink," a waltz.
This record looks to be in E- condition, but plays between VV+ and V+ generally, with a noisy V start for the first 10 seconds of "Frieda."
