Description
Extremely rare and hard to find in any condition, here's an original two disc DEMO copy of this 1960 hit from the EVERLY BROTHERS with;
On disc 1 "CATHY'S CLOWN" on the UK WARNER BROS IMPRINT matrix imprint # C-50582 which was to become WB 1, the first issue on the UK label. This disc plays perfectly well with good audible quality throughout and is best described as in very good condition. It does have many light surface scuffs but definitely no deep scratches with just light crackle on the lead-in and run-out groove that doesn't affect play. Labels are nice and clean without tears but it does have radio station notations in the form of the WB 1 catalogue number and 2'22''/F indicative of running time / fade.
On disc 2 "ALWAYS IT'S YOU" on the UK WARNER BROS IMPRINT matrix imprint # C-50583 which was to become WB 1, the first issue on the UK label. This disc plays perfectly well with good audible quality throughout and is best described as in very good condition. It does have many light surface scuffs but definitely no deep scratches. Unfortunately, it does have a significant run-in groove nick (see pictures scan 5) but with careful cueing, there is a one second lead in and the track plays continuously and doesn't affect play. Labels are nice and clean without tears but does have radio station notations in the form of the WB 1 catalogue number and 2.26 indicative of running time.
The two discs are paired in a single period buff sleeve.
Despite the damage to disc 2, it's still a very nice demo pair to grace any collection.From my personal collection so why not check out my other listings for more great sounds. The record will be mailed in a stiffened card outer by Royal Mail First Class "Signed For" service only. This provides protection for both parties in the unlikely event of loss.
