This is the rare UK 1st press of 'Songs Our Daddy Taught Us' by The Everly Brothers. This press is complete with the earliest 1B / 1B matrix, the earliest purple London labels, the original polylined inner sleeve and the laminated flipback Robert Stace sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl on each side has the most wonderful high gloss, with no whitening of the grooves at all, there are just a few very slight hairlines. The sound is exceptionally rich, warm and extremely clear. The London labels are completely clean. The purple is solid and the silver is bright. The text is sharp and there is no spindle wear just a couple of spider marks. The record is complete with the original inner sleeve.
The laminated sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The image is sharp, the colours are vivid and the laminate has a sensational shine. There is just some light corner wear. The back of the sleeve is bright with just light discolouration, the images are sharp and the picture and text are still unworn. The spine is firm and the whole sleeve is solid.
