EVERYDAY PEOPLE "Life"/"Slipping Into Darkness" SOUL FUNK 45 on Encore 315.

"Life" looks and plays G, and the flip is in POOR condition with deep scratches and skips.

This record was my absolute favorite record in my collection at one point in time.  I was able to source the record and get a cleaner copy (which is now my favorite record in my collection) and am now selling this one.  It is one of three known copies.  Terribly rare and terribly beautiful.  Everyday People were a group out of Gary, IN.  This record is the group's sole recorded output and came out in 1975.  The record was pressed pretty much for promotional purposes and one band member thought the record could have been pressed in as small a quantity of 50 copies.  One will be hard pressed to ever come across another copy of this record.  "Life" is simply magical.  It evokes this feeling of deep melancholy through hazy basement harmony, a sonic embodiment of the streets of Gary.  It just doesn't get any better than this to me.

The flip is an awesome raw funk cover of "Slipping Into Darkness", and certainly to me the best funk track to come out of Gary.  Unfortunately, this side skips and sounds really bad with deep scratches causing loud pops on a quiet pressing.

Shipping for 45s is $4 in the US and $7 overseas.  I combine shipping adding an extra $1 to shipping for each additional record purchased.  Items over $200 must be shipped Registered which adds an extra $10.
