This is our Hybrid Multi-Density vibration isolation pod specifically designed for vinyl record turntables but can also be used for CD Players, DVD Players, Minidisc Players, VCR's, Receivers, Power Amps, Tuners and more . These pods/pads are equally suited to Speaker Isolation and Decoupling applications both at home and in the Recording Studio. They virtually eliminate all frequency band vibrations normally induced through the surface or platform the turntable is sitting on.

They are 2.25" high and approximately 2.25" in diameter.

Through a combination of five levels of Hybrid Density Elastomers the pods dissipate an overlapping range of frequencies. Each layer has been specifically formulated to capture a unique range of frequencies and dampen them to virtually non-existent levels.

After listening to my Thorens TD160 Super Turntable with a Signet XK50 Tonearm and a Soundsmith Aida cartridge, I found a more defined and solid bass and high frequencies that are sharp and without smear. In the vocal area, male and female voices are solid, detailed and very much live in the room. There is a very accurate representation of the tonality of instruments, like the piano, which, aside from the human voice, is one of the most difficult instruments to reproduce accurately. As for the isolation effects: the Thorens Turntable sits on two platforms -- one is sitting on the spike feet of a wall bracket in an attempt to isolate the turntable from walking foot steps and vibrations. The second platform is the former base of the Thorens, which was replaced by a specialty anti-vibration acrylic base with spiked feet. When the volume is turned up and there is bass information in the music, touching the wall platform, one can feel vibrations; however, touching the pods and everything including the Thoren's plinth, one feels absolutely no vibrations. As the object of eliminating vibrations is to stabilize the Tonearm and cartridge, thus allowing the needle to do the only movements for accurate sound reproduction . . . I would say that these vibration isolation pods absolutely do their job extremely well. They are a welcomed addition to the improvement and enjoyment of pure, accurate music, which is an audiophile's ultimate goal.
