Description
THE RED HOTTERS, a swell and peppy dance band, kick up their heels on both sides of this 1925 OKeh, with "EV'RYTHING IS HOTSY TOTSY NOW" and the faux-German fox trot, "OH! HEINRICH!"
The song "Hotsy Totsy," by impresario IRVING MILLS and songwriter JIMMY McHUGH, was a mild hit, but the phrase caught on and became something of a by-word among musicians and the public. One of Irving's later, and even more distinguished, groups was called the "Hotsy Totsy Gang."
(n.b.) I am sure that "GLOVER" would be proud to know his etched name has survived all these years. Probably his major accomplishment in life.
This original 1925 Maroon OKeh 40380 is in solid V++ condition. Very little wear, a few scuffs & scratches.
