Here is a 4 shellac single album set from my collection offered up for sale: A Jazz Piano 1946 Jazz 4 x 78 rpm album by Hazel Scott "A PIANO RECITAL" released on Signature Records S-1. Few artists were as accomplished as Hazel Scott. A child prodigy who was a graduate of Juliard, had her own TV show in 1950, starred in many Hollywood movies, performed at Carnegie hall and all over the world. According to wiki: Scott was renowned as a virtuosic jazz pianist, in addition to her successes in dramatic acting and classical music. She also used her status as one of the best-known African-American entertainers of her generation to shine a spotlight on issues of racial injustice and civil rights. A musicale was held in Kingston, Jamaica, in May 1971, entitled "The Sounds of a New World", co-presented by Scott with Dizzy Gillespie, Seals and Croft, and Linda Marshall and others, as part of a ship-and-shore conference of Bahá’ís. Records rate EX, all super clean and glossy, they don't come much better than this! , have been PLAY TESTED! Plays excellent from start to finish! minimal surface noise. The vintage book type jacket is clean and bright. Rates EX.
