Description
Here is an album offered up for sale: A RARE original 1962 R&B PROMO album by popular singer Clyde McPhatter "Lover Please!". Released by Mercury SR 60711 (mono), still has original printed inner sleeve. This special pressing has the vintage 1960's heavy vinyl and DJ "Promotional Record" black and white labels and heavy paper cover. This is classic R&B with Clydes bright and smooth tenor vocal with great backing band that includes Boots Randolph on Sax and Bill Justis on trumpet, "Money Honey", "Rockin' Robbin" and "Don't Let Go". Clyde was in The Drifters and Billy Ward And His Dominoes.
The vinyl grades EX, is super clean and glossy, has just a couple small light marks at edge on one side, nothing heavy or feel-able, has been PLAY TESTED. This vinyl plays excellent from start to finish!
The cover rates NEAR MINT, is super clean and bright, great color with gloss, minimal handling wear, no splits, no tape, binder edge is EX and readable, back cover opening edge has a few tiny bumps, no stains, has been well cared for! The inner sleeve is clean and bright, has center split neatly taped. (see all photos)
