Description
Here is a beautiful vintage album from my collection offered up for sale: Janis Joplin with Big Brother & the Holding Company. "Cheap Thrills", this is an original STEREO 1st pressing released in 1968 by Columbia Records KCS 9700, Beautiful Robert Crumb artwork on front cover & photo of Janis on the back, has beautiful gatefold cover with live photo of the band on clean inner gatefold. This album features awesome performances by Janis with great backing band led by Sam Andrews and classic songs, "Summertime", Ball and Chain," "Piece of my heart", Turtle blues, I need a man to love, and more, GREAT album!
The vinyl grades EX, is super clean and glossy, has only a few faint light sleeve marks, looks minimally played and has been a well cared for 50 years! Outstanding! PLAY TESTED, plays excellent from start to finish with great sound quality!, no skips or jumps and a VERY enjoyable listen! Original press 360 SOUND labels show VERY little sign of wear or spindle marks! Unfortunately there is one faint signature on one label (see photos)
The cover rates strong EX, is super clean, has deep color with no ring wear, seams excellent and binder EX & readable, no splits, no tape, looks minimally handled, has been very well cared for! The inner sleeve is clean. (see all photos)
Will be shipped in a .3 ml plastic sleeve in a record box with tracking. Vinyl will be shipped in a "throw away" paper sleeve outside the cover to prevent splits.
