This was the Beatles' second official release, following their hugely popular Please Please Me. This record was released on the 30th November 1963 and went to the number 1 position (knocking of their own Please Please Me lp) on the 7th of December. Staying at number 1 for 21 weeks! As a little note: they had already sold 250,000 copies before the release and so accepted a silver disc BEFORE release!

The guitar almost makes you jump at the start of Roll Over Beethoven and continues through with high symbols/high hats and deep bass drum...WONDERUFULLY CLEAR!
However...and this is why I am not selling her for at least £500...
 There are only very light marks visible to the vinyl. There appear to be numerous light scuff marks to a patch to side 2-stretching from tracks 1 through to 3, with the following effect to the audio playback...
The very last part of track 1 has a circular line of around 2mm of shilling, making the stylus skip twice, track 3 also has 2 very quick and light skips, right at the end of the track....A real shame as otherwise this would be a vault copy. This is reflected in the price.
(I have heard many 'new' arrangements and instruments not heard on other copies-it's sooo clear).
As a note: These early pressings were immediately withdrawn due to customer complaints of 'jumping' and the album was quickly re-cut giving it a less aggressive sound.
 I have just listened to the WHOLE record and found a wonderfully rich audio reproduction with clear highs and lows-lovely quiet run-ins too.
Played on a Focus One Deck with an SMK arm and Audio Technica stylus fitted.
GORGEOUS heavy original vinyl.
Flat as the day she was born.

(This is quite unusual as the MT tax code was only introduced on the 1st of Jan 1963 and ran only until July 1963-This Lp was released in November 1963-when the KT tax code was introduced).

"Jobete Mus. NCB" credit for Money on side 2.
"Really Gotta Hold On Me" listing for track 3, side 2.
These labels were quickly corrected and recalled, making this an increasingly rare copy.

One of the best I have ever seen for this title!!
 Larger Mono in top right corner & DARKER 1st cover version, later to be slightly lightened to be able to The Beatles' collars.
She is lovely and bright in colour.
I see two tiny crescents of spidering, one being around 1.5cm and the other 3cm...WOW! There are 5 very small fingers of spidering emanating from the spine, but again, nothing at all to worry about.
AMAZING WELL KEPT.

Tiny name written to the INSIDE of the cover at the opening, so not visible when framed.
 Very strong clear and UNCRUSHED spine.
Great STRONG & SHARP corners.
