This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl:

The vinyl has has some light needle marks to each disc, with side 4 having the most hairline marks...
 BUT after listening to her ALL THE WAY THROUGH, I only found some light occasional background crackle, with the odd light pop-which I am sure would improve with just a gentle professional clean.

EX-. All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple.
There are only a few very light spindle marks to each label, these can be seen when angling to the light....

The Cover:
EXCELLENT!!!
NUMBERED: 0150582 It is an EARLY first run, with TOP loading.

 Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold without tears, rips or writing!!
The spine remains strong and clear.
Superb cover-creamy white, with just a couple of tiny spidering fingers eminating from the seams and a very small line of spiderinf (6cm) to the back top left corner...THAT REALLY IS IT!
WONDERFUL CONDITION

Correct MONO cover as it doesn't have the printing of  Stereo to the back top right.
GLORIOUS and clean on the inside of the gatefold.
STILL OPENS WITH THE CRACKLE-AS IF OPEING FOR THE FIRST TIME
(Please see the detailed pictures for yourself-it really is GREAT).
AGAIN, I AM BEING INCREDIBLY CRITICAL!!!

Just, simply FANTASTIC ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING!!!


Inners:  EX++. Original BLACK inners. They are both INCREDIBLY well looked after.
FREE FROM SPLITS
They have the die-cut corners and the'windows' on one side to each.
THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL-NOT REPRO!

They are EXCELLENT AND ORIGINAL.
They DON'T have any pin-holes around their edges...Which was quite typical for the Beatles fans to pin their beau's up on their bedroom wall.
On the back of Paul and John, I see a tiny sticker to each and a larger outline of a see-through sticker-doesn't affect the front at all and not really anything to worry about at all either.
Lovely and bright.
