THIS IS FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION.


This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl:

Visually, the vinyl has only a few incredibly light and wispy marks to each disc. After listening to her ALL THE WAY THROUGH, I found BARELY ANY background noise to mention...Only on a few occasions did I notice even the slightest, light background noise, mainly found inbetween songs...The most stand out I found was just 3 very small and light pops at the start of Long Long Long, but then back to the rich and clear audio-nothing at all to worry about.
*SHE IS WONDERFULLY CLEAR*
Even the run-ins and outs were lovely and quiet.
SIMPLY SUPERB AUDIO.
The drums were so clear on 'I Will'
GLORIOUS MONO

Even the more delicate side 4 recordings are lovely and clear-I even noticed some compositions in the background I have not noticed before-simply due to the wonderful clarity.

***CERTAINLY NOTHING TO MAKE HER JUMP, SKIP OR STICK***

NO "AN EMI RECORDING" TO ANY OF THEM...Showing this to be the very 1st edition of these rare labels!
 All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple.
A handful of just light, small spindle marks...which can only be seen when angling towards the light-and looking for them!
VERY, VERY NICE!!
NO HOLE WEAR TO MENTION!
NO WRITING
"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels.

The Cover:

NUMBERED: 0606003 It is an EARLY first run, with TOP loading.
 Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold
The spine remains strong and clear, with just light rubbing/storage wear!
Superbly bright cover-creamy white.
The only points of notice is an ever-so small nick of 8mm to the right seam of the front panel...Really nothing to worry about at all.
There are less than 10 small crescents of spidering to the front and back laminate, with some small fingers of spidering emanating from the seams...VERY NICE INDEED-really nothing at all to worry about.
SIMPLY LOVELY CONDITION

Correct MONO cover as it doesn't have the printing of  Stereo to the back top right.
GLORIOUS and clean on the inside of the gatefold.

AGAIN, I AM BEING INCREDIBLY CRITICAL!!!

Excellent, very strong Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold flipbacks....

Inners:

 Original BLACK inners. They are INCREDIBLY well looked after.
On does have two small lines of tears to the central window, whislt the other has a small split of around 3cm to the bottom seam. Both have a degreee of feathering to their opening, but all-in-all these ORIGINAL inner have survived incredibly well.
They have the die-cut corners and the 'windows' on one side to each.
THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL-NOT REPRO!

They DON'T have any pin-holes around their edges...Which was quite typical for the Beatles fans to pin their beau's up on their bedroom wall.
Paul and George have tiny 1cm creases to one their corners...That is all!

Full size and with lyrics to the back.
She is in magical condition-WITHOUT tears, or pin-holes!
In the central folds I noticed a 2mm worn hole at one of the central folds-again, nothing at all to worry about-I AM BEING VERY CRITICAL.
There is a small amount of discolouration along the folds, but nothing bad at all.
Vibrant colours.
LOVELY condition!
First pressing run too as it carries the lips and the un-censored images and drawings.


ALL IN ALL A LOVELY COLLECTORS PIECE HERE...DON'T FORGET:
IT'S  THE FIRST MONO PRESS....ONE OF THE BEST COVERS I HAVE SEEN & HEARD IN A LONG WHILE.
