Description
About This Record. Here is the first of a few very special 45rpms from my collection. This is an original copy of The Night Crawlers 45rpm featuring You Say b/w Night Crawlin' on the VERY FIRST Maad Records pressing with the Green and white label and purple stripe. This is not to be confused with the more common but still extremely rare brown (instead of green) accented label. This is a 45rpm by The Night Crawlers (NOT the Nightcrawlers), this was an awesome band from Carleton College in Northfield Minnesota who released this 45rpm in 1966 or thereabouts, a killer legendary garage rock folk cult item that never turns up for sale. We used this at KRLX as a loop to loop tape, and panicked when rookie DJs accidentally erased it, because as time went on, fewer and fewer and then NO copies could be found to re-record this precious gem!
All Proceeds will be contributed to my Alma Mater, Carleton College, and I think my employer (eBay!!) will match my donation! I would donate this item instead of its proceeds to KRLX, the Carleton College radio station, but I donated the second pressing and it seems to have disappeared between my 25th and 35th reunion, so I thought the $$$ funds might help more, hopefully being designated specifically towards KRLX the radio station where I used to be a DJ!
I note my starting price is about 1/3 of what I paid about 25 years ago that lucky day at the Record Convention at the Holiday Inn in downtown Minneapolis when I found it! Have fun! The photos of the labels or cover list the songs and any possible details about the labels.
I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA and most foreign buyers who contact me with questions beforehand) in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase. Comes hand-cleaned on my VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning machine (hate those automated 17's) and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And two plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me).
Cover Condition: There never was a cover but I include what I think is the original white (now brown) plain paper inner sleeve (after cleaning the vinyl). Please See all the Photos I took. I didn't take them for fun and frolic. But you won't find a picture of the cover because I don't have one and there never was one.
Vinyl Condition: Excellent ; I just played it on my La Luce Alba turntable and Benz LP cartridge. Keeper copy. It has a few light paper marks (more so on the less important Night Crawlin' side).

Inserts: None, but i think it has the original plain white (now brown) paper inner sleeve; but No worries, this also comes cleaned on my VPI Record Cleaning Machine and in a new paper innersleeve (so the old dust does not reattach! OH my gosh!!.
Packaging. I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original. I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least one insert stiffener, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” to help facilitate a safe passage.

I offer full refund on this record including shipping both ways, unless you live outside North America in which case I will refund you shipping one way unless I made a mistake which I sometimes do because I am only human..
