Description
Here is an fantastically preserved original Beatles record album from my collection offered up for sale: the THE BEATLES classic masterpiece "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" released June 2nd 1967 on Capitol records MAS-2653. This is an original AUTHENTIC first MONO pressing with the black labels with color bands. A different mix than the common stereo pressing. (Reportedly John Lennon was quoted as saying "the only way to listen to Pepper is in mono".) The MONO pressing was finally repressed and even the NEW copies go for bundles of cash. This is the real deal! The ORIGINAL 1967 1st mono pressing!
The vinyl is stunning and rates EX, is super glossy and clean, outstanding vinyl, a few faint marks on each side, nothing heavy! has been play tested. Plays with bright deep sound, minimal surface noise , no skips or jumps, a very enjoyable listen! The labels show VERY little wear, one side has a factory error where the colorband is slightly mis-shaped and spins quite psychedelically! Upon very close inspection you can barely see a small signature in each colorband (previous owner trust issues!)barely noticeable! Awesome 54 year old Beatles collectable! The cover rates EX, fantastic color! NO ring wear on front OR back cover! Binder edge EX and readable, corners EX, NO splits!, NO writing or signatures. Inside gatefold clean and bright, The original psychedelic red inner sleeve excellent , has split at bottom center and smaller split at side seam of inner, the original Sgt. Pepper cut out insert is in great shape,(see pics) clean. Some very light handling wear. (see all photos) An absolutely STUNNING original MONO pressing!
