Description
Visually super glossy nice excellent condition vinyl and excellent cover with no splits. Just some light ring and age wear. Promo sticker on the B side. Because this is a promo I’m wondering if the autograph and info on the back are industry people and from my google search it most likely belonged to somebody at “BROTHER RECORDS” (see below), but I can’t tell who the autograph is, so I’ll let you decide.
When I googled the phone # and Hollywood this was the result: “In 1969, the phone number 461-3661 belonged to Brother Records, a company associated with the Beach Boys.
Details about Brother Records:
Location: 1654 N. Ivar, Hollywood, California 90028.
Purpose: The company was created by the Beach Boys in 1966 to gain greater creative and business control over their work.
Operations: They released several albums on their Brother Records label, starting with Smiley Smile in 1967.
Historical context: The record company was featured in a Billboard magazine buyer's guide from August 30, 1969, which listed the 461-3661 number. “
