Description
I have for sale 22 extremely rare 1930s 78rpm pictorial records by Trusound of London, I will be listing them singularly. Trusound was only in business for a few years in the early 1930s, 1930 to 1934. They are pressed on celluloid laminated card discs and have wonderfully colourful Art Deco images of the period on either side. They each measure 9 5/8" in diameter. On the rare occaisions when these discs turn up they are often in poor unplayable condition as they are prone to damage and age related deterioration. They are all sold as untested as I don't have a means to play them. The HMV record holder is not included in the sale.
This record T4 is generally flat but with various little rips in the laminate which I have tried to show in the photographs and with only one small area of edge splitting. Also please check photographs 4,5 and 6 as they show the middle of the laminate lifting due to what I suspect was the needle being left on the record while it still turned and forming a deep groove. Also the T4 stamp has been over stamped with 25 but I am happy it is T4. I doubt you could play it! Please check photographs carefully as the record pictured is the one you will receive.
