Description
Here is a RARE original 1959 dawn of rock n' roll LP album on Laurie records 1002, "Presenting Dion & the Belmonts". This is the RARE first pressing which has the solid gold labels! Songs include their smash hits "I wonder why", "A teenager in love","That's my desire" and many more! Dion was the lone surviving headliner from the ill fated "Winter Dance Tour" that took the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper". The vinyl rates EX-, is super clean and glossy! Some faint marks and light sleevewear but NOTHING HEAVY! Play tested, this album plays great from start to finish, clear sound with excellent sound quality, some light surface noise heard in one track only "A funny feeling", otherwise a very enjoyable listen throughout! Labels are clean!
The vintage cover rates easy VG+, has great front cover with NO ring wear, top and bottom seam were neatly repaired, no bent corners, binder edge looks great and is still readable, small price tag residue seen at close inspection, has a great looking back cover. No signatures or writing.
A very well cared for and well preserved 67 year old album that is one the dawn of rock n' roll's first and greatest records! (see all photos)
