Description

Here is a RARE pressing of a COOL roots of rock album that has been finely preserved and offered up for sale: The counterpart to USA 1958 release album "Ricky"  by America's favorite TV teen Ricky Nelson. This album is a RARE pressing made in Japan and was released January 1960 by Imperial records IMP-5007. Manufactured by Victor record company Japan. This was Ricky's first 12 inch record album. He does a great job singing these fine tunes! Released on Imperial records LP-9048. This is an original Mono pressing with maroon labels & the large IMPERIAL at top.  Ricky sings two tracks written by Carl Perkins including "Boppin' the Blues" plus the Jerry Lee Lewis favorite "Whole lotta Shakin' goin' on", "Honeycomb" and many more!

The record grades EX, super clean and glossy, Near pristine looking!, PLAY TESTED, and plays with excellent sound quality from start to finish! First pressing Maroon labels look great! unique ORIGINAL laminated paper inner sleeve in EX condition!
The cover rates EX, is super clean & crisp! beautiful portrait photo of Ricky on the front. Clean & bright white rear cover! No writing or signatures! an absolute beauty!  seams & binder edge EX & readable, no signatures or writing, NO ring wear & has been well cared for and fantastically preserved!  (see all photos)
