Being released on the 8th of November 1971, this magical album went straight into the number one slot in the UK charts, where it stayed for an amazing 62 weeks!!
It was received very well by both the critics and fans alike, on both sides of the Atlantic and in my opinion still stands the test of time to this day.

Flat as the day she was born and carries just a few very light, insignificant, whispy marks to her-nothing at all to affect playback....I have just played her all the way through-up loud and I wasn't dissapointed :)..Wonderful clean and clear breaks with clear highs and deep lows.
BANGIN' DEEP DRUMS AND BASS!!
Simply superb sound reproduction!
NO SKIPS, STICKS or JUMPS.
The fade-out at the end of track 3, side 1, leading into Stairway was perfectly audible and brought a big grin to my face :)

The Labels:

RARE MIIS-PRINTED LABELS....Instead of carrying Misty Mountain Hop, there is a typo with Misty Mountain TOP...Not many of these come up for sale-I have only seen a handful of these as they were noticed and quickly removed and rectified...Strangley this was later corrected on the Red/Plum labels, but the re-pressing green labels carried the same error again, just for a short period too.
NO Superhype credit.
The labels are in magnificent condition and are worthy of framing-after playing all the way though at full blast, of course!

 This is a wonderful cover for this album...When you open the cover, to view the inner gatefold, the black is still black and the white still white!
YOU REALLY COULD FRAME THIS BEAUTY.
Solid corners, with just gentle rubbing as well as a SUPER STRONG spine-which even looks to be an unusual wide-spine....certainly wider than the other copies I have of this album.
The two points to mention are the remnants of a sticker to the bottom right corner and a semi-circle of a light coffee stain to the top right..See if you can spot it in the images provided..?...Please do see the detailed images for yourselves.

 It is the ORIGINAL 'Symbol' paper inner, with the lyrics to Stairway To Heaven on the back and the track listing of the album to the front.
WITHOUT any catalogue number, which was later introduced for the re-pressings.
There is a small split to the side seam of just 6cm-but she remains strong.
 100% ORIGINAL.
Certainly done her job in keeping the record in "TOP" condition!

ALL IN ALL THIS IS A CLASSIC ALBUM WITH SIMPLY SUPERB AUDIO REPRODUCTION.
ON THE ICONIC RED/PLUM LABEL.
