Roll up, roll up all ye Beatles fans....Ready to be re-released by Disney in the near future as a 3D remake, it's The Beatles' YELLOW SUBMARINE....
This was The Beatles' eleventh official album release and interestingly enough, the first album of theirs to included non-Beatles material. Released, after a delay, in mid January the album made it up the UK charts to the 3rd position....With The Beatles' 'White' album denying it the top slot.
There were only modest sales-in comparison with other Beatles releases-as the sales were around 800,000 within the first three months, but it did go over1 million sales by the end of the year. This could have had something to do with the album having only four original tracks and the rest was George Martin's film score.

So, here's the details of this album up for auction:

Just the same matrix numbers as the UK pressing, but no '-' (dash) number at the end.

Vinyl:

EX! There are only a few very faint marks.
I have just played her all the way through and found there to be only very light background noise.
CERTAINLY without any SKIPPING or Jumping.
Due to side 2 being more instrumental, the light backgound noise is slightly more audible. I think a gentle professional clean will upgrade this even further.


Lables: EX.  If you'd like to have a lovely example of this South African label...Here it is! Lovely and bright and with only light spindle marks, only visible when angled to bright light.

NOW THE REALLY QUITE RARE AND UNUSUAL PART OF THESE LABELS:

Side 2 label has a different track listing to the UK press (and different to the listing on the back of this South African cover). With track 2: Sea Of Time being track '2a', but track 3: Sea Of Holes is now track '2b'
Following this, the rest of the track listing is consequently out of synch and ends up listing only 6 tracks on the label, as opposed to the 7 tracks listed on the cover...

The next interesting point to note is the completely wrong spelling of the last track:
Yellow Submarine In PPERLAND
Having missed out the first two letters of PEpperland!!!

Cover: VG-. It is the original FRONT LAMINATED cover, with the catalogue number printed in the top right corner on the back.
 It does have the red lines to the back-above and below the text.

States "Record Pressed For Or By A Registered User"

The spine is lovely and strong.
Unfortunately the front laminate has come away in areas-Please see the detailed images for yourselves and click on them for even further detail.
 There's been some light knocking to the corners too.

It was made by "ARTONE PRESS" which merged with House of Print, in South Africa in April 2011...This cover being made WAY before that merger.

Inner: EX. It is the original white die-cut poly-lined inner with no markings to it.
Has the "Important Notice" text box as well as Made In Great Britain.
SIMPLY EXCELLENT CONDITION
Certainly done her job in looking after this record!
