***WONDERFUL COMPLETE PACKAGE & AUDIO***

This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!

The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained mainly SOLO material.

By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

GORGEOUSLY shiny vinyl.

I gave her a gentle professional clean on my Pro-Ject VC-S MkII Vacuum Record Cleaner, followed by a gentle ultrasonic clean and then played her all the way through on my Focus One Deck...W-O-W, the audio was simply SUPERB!

There were some wonderful stand-out moments with the piano being beautifully crisp on Ob La Di (with some instruments I hadn't even noticed before!!) and a crisp and clean birdsong on Blackbird, moving on to a deep bassy start of Piggies. An absolute joy to listen to!

I noticed more fuzz feedback on Dear Prudence and so much more evidence of the musical techniques throughout playback on each side-A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

The snare drum is sooo crisp on Sexy Sadie :)

Helter Skelter...Is...ALIVE!...Incredible!!

Visually I can see just a couple of TINY hairline, wispy marks to the vinyl...Each not affecting audio playback in any significant way at all.

All of the tracks play through with rich clarity, with the transitions being wonderfully quiet as well.

I noticed a couple of very light and soft bit of light background crackle (when playing loud) on just a couple of tiny moments...But these really were insignificant...They simply reminded me I am listening to an ORIGINAL SLAB OF VINYL FROM 1968 and not a digital reproduction!

I also noticed A LOT of different sounds on Revolution 9...WOW; it really gave me more insight into the work which must have been put in to get this down!

It was a hard decision as to which track to record-as they all sound fantastic...But I settled on Mother Natures Son (as this is a very quiet track and would show any offensive background noise-which there wasn’t any, maybe just a bit of static!)

EACH RECORD IS AS FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN.

The Labels:

All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple.

With just a handful of incredibly light spindle marks-visible only when angled towards the light and really looking for them! With near enough ZERO central hole wear to each label.

Each label has the "Sold In U.K..." text.

"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels-on the one line, rather than the later editions, where it is split on two lines.

It is the first run TOP loading with a great shine to her.

It is generally believed the Stereo White Albums started at 0300000 (all though some have been found at 0200000 onwards, so this is not a hard and fast rule).

The laminate has NO crescents of spidering to either the front or back panels! All I notice is some light storage wear and a very faint water line for some reason-which is very light (see if you can spot it in the detailed images provided..)

Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold.

The WIDESPINE remains beautifully strong.

Has the printing of Stereo to the back top right.

Light rubbing/knocking to the corners through shelf storage.

ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING!!!

They are both all original with the die-cut corners and windows to one side.

They have each survived the years incredibly well!

SOOO RARE to find these delicate inners in such fabulous condition.

There is just some light wear with a couple of tiny nicks to the openings and one side to each has a fine split.

The 4 ORIGINAL pictures are present (John, Paul, George & Ringo).

They have been kept in simply TOP condition!!

NO rips or tears

It is a FANTASTIC poster, with lyrics printed to the back and kiss to the front...As well as the naked McCartney behind a pole...They later added some underwear to this picture!

One of the best examples I have come across in a VERY long time.
