Here is a super RARE album from my collection offered up for sale: The Monkees debut album "The Monkees", an EARLY PRESSING that has the "Papa Jean" misprint on both the album cover and record labels, vinyl has been well cared for, cover still in shrink wrap! In 1966 the first pressings had a song title error, was printed with song title "Papa Jean's Blues" and later pressings were corrected to "Papa Gene's Blues". This is the RARE early pressing with both the cover and vinyl having misprints, plus this is a GREAT album, an audio joy from start to finish!
"The Monkees" was released in 1966 by Colgems Records COM-101 Mono.
The heavy weight record grades VG+/EX, is super clean and glossy, has a few light marks, nothing heavy, looks minimally played. Has been PLAY TESTED, plays from start to finish with excellent sound quality, clear sound, minimal surface noise, an enjoyable listen! The cover rates NEAR MINT, shrink still intact on all three sides, has great color, no edge wear, no splits, no tape, binder edge NM and readable, no signatures or writing, hard to find in this great shape!
