EXCALIBUR Sceptre MEGA RARE 1973 PRIVATE PRESS LP - ONLY 99 EVER PRESSED
This record has been vacuum machine cleaned and test played in full on quality hi-fi. My grading is based on the UK record collector grading system. I will gladly combine postage on multiple items so check out my other records. Thanks
Details:- From my own personal collection - incredibly rare 1973 privately pressed LP. Sceptre by Excalibur. There's very little information online about the band other than they built up some following in Great Yarmouth in the early 70s and played in one particular local pub regularly. Subsequently the landlord funded the making of the LP of which only 99 were made. Recorded in 1973 by Yarmouth Recording Studios, catalogue no. YRS LPST01. Band members were - Tony Walsh, David Mason, Jim Hewkin, Tom Hewkin

Vinyl Condition:- EX. Clean shiny vinyl with a few very light surface hairlines, sleeve brushings and sleeve storage marks.
Sleeve Condition:- VG. This is a delicate sleeve, as private press sleeves tend to be. The top and bottom edges have split but been neatly repaired at some point. There is a 1cm nick on the opening edge. The plain white back of the sleeve is slightly dicoloured with age.
Label Condition:- VG+ Clean labels with a few spindle marks

Grading Abbreviations
Grading below is as stated from UK Record Collector. I also use +/- for records that fall somewhere between a grade
Mint (M)
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent (EX)
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG)
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Good (G)
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
Fair (F)
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor (P)
The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing
Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
