- NOTES
- Bojoura, of Bulgarian descent, was the most popular Dutch singer for a long period of time. She was born in 1947 in The Hague as Raina Cleuver van Melzen and discovered by George Kooymans (Golden Earring) in 1967. She recorded a lot of folk songs, although she also did some songs penned by Kooymans. She was frequently accompanied by the Thijs van Leer Trio (1967-1969).

Bojoura, born Raina Cleuver van Melzen (April 15, 1947), is a folk and pop vocalist, whose greatest success came in the late 1960s and 1970s.
Born in The Hague, The Netherlands, Bojoura was discovered by George Kooymans of the rock band Golden Earring, who went on to write and produce many of her songs. Bojoura scored her first hit in 1967 with the Kooymans ballad "Everybody's Day," and in 1969 charted once more in Europe with her version of the song "Frank Mills" from the Broadway musical Hair. Through the mid 1970s she remained one of the most popular singers in Holland. Bojoura is married to the Dutch drummer Hans Cleuver, who was a founding member of the progressive rock band Focus.[1]
Bojoura, in full Raina Gerardina Bojoura Cleuver van Melzen, was born in The Hague, Holland, on April 15, 1947. She is the daughter of Dany Zonewa, a well-known opera-singer and music-teacher of Bulgarian origin.
Bojoura (the Bulgarian name for peony) was discovered by George Kooymans of the Golden Earring in 1967. One of his songs landed her on the local hit parade and made her an instant success: she has won the popularity polls ever since.
During the 1967-68 season she became the hostess of the AVRO-TV programme "View" in which she interviewed The Supremes as well as Truman Capote. In the summer of 1968 an invitation followed to represent the Netherlands at the "Festival Orphée d'Or" in Burgas, Bulgaria.
In 1969, her version of "Frank Mills" from the musical Hair hit the top of the local bestsellers lists. As a result of this success she has since been making personal appearances with the Thijs van Leer trio.
Bojoura, de artiestennaam van Rajna Cleuver van Melzen, ('s Gravenhage, 15 april 1947) is een folk- en popzangeres, die eind jaren 60 en in de jaren 70 van de twintigste eeuw haar grootste successen behaalde.Biografie
The Hague , 15 April 1947 ) is a folk - and pop singer , the late 60s and in the 70s of the twentieth century, its greatest successes.
Biography (TRANSLATION)
Her father is Dutch, her mother is the Bulgarian soprano Dani Zonewa . Bojoura is Bulgarian for peony . Zonewa is probably the reason that they gave music lessons at the Royal Conservatory (The Hague) . Also follow classes at the Small Academy (Amsterdam) and Academy of Stage Training (The Hague)
Her career began as a singer of songs of George Kooymans (its discoverer) of the Golden Earrings . He had been singing the mother of Bojoura. She had the look of a hippie, roughly equivalent to the later Mariska Veres of Shocking Blue . She married Hans Cleuver, the drummer of Focus , but was out of sight. Led by Thijs van Leer and Ruud Jacobs tried them after a while the interior thread to resume. She has a fluke with The letter , but then she disappeared for good after two small revivals of the musical stage. Important people in her career were also Freddie Haayen and Willem van Kooten , who both promote her as limited, they had to remain a bit mysterious. At that time she became best singer of the Netherlands in the Music Express.
In the time she was popular, she felt she really belonged nowhere and the other pop music that was also called, the list of female artists was not so long. After her singing career, she was a housewife.

The Disc (Vinyl) and the Album Cover are graded separately.
DISC (VINYL) GRADES SS(STILL SEALED) Sealed at factory and never opened. Disc is assumed to be undamaged and mint, but this cannot be proven until the album is actually opened and the disc examined. M
(MINT) Perfection, no flaws, defects, marks or otherwise indications of being handled or played. Any scuffs, hairline scratches or other marks disqualify discs from this category. I do not use this grade, as even the act of inserting the disc or removing it from the paper sleeve may cause scuff marks on the vinyl. NM or M-
(NEAR MINT or MINT MINUS) This is highest grade that I will assign to opened, handled records. The vinyl is virtually flawless, bright and shiny. A very minor, barely visible scuff or two may be permitted, but no scratches. The disc should play with no audible noise. The label is bright, clean and unmarked. EX or VG++
(EXCELLENT or VERY GOOD ++) Disc plays near perfectly, but may have minor paper scuffs that do not interfere with the sound quality. There can possibly be a hairline scratch or two but nothing that is obvious or affects play. Vinyl is bright and shiny; label is clean and unmarked. VG+
(VERY GOOD PLUS) Some visible surface wear, very minor scratches and scuffs, but minimal impact on the sound quality. Vinyl will still have good luster; labels may have minor imperfections (small labels or initials, etc.) but otherwise clean. VG
(VERY GOOD) Vinyl will have noticeable scratches or scuffs that cause minor surface noise, but do not overpower the music. There will be no skips. Vinyl may appear somewhat dull and grayish. Labels may have small tears, tape marks, larger writing, etc. but still easily legible. There may be wear or deformation of the spindle hole. G
(GOOD) Well-played, dull, grayish vinyl with deeper scratches and wear causing distracting surface noise (hisses, pops, cracks and other nasties). The record will still play through without any skips. Labels may be significantly defaced or damaged. F
(FAIR)
P
(POOR) Unless the record is particularly rare, I would not try to sell a record in this condition. There will be major noise, surface damage, deep scratches, and skips. Attempting to listen to these discs will be painful. These discs are basically trash unless a collector desires one to fill a space in a collection until a better one comes along. ALBUM COVER GRADES SS
(STILL SEALED) Album is still in the factory-applied shrink-wrapping. M
(MINT) Absolutely perfect; no corner dings, marks, tears, dents, impressions from the disc, or other flaws. Cover should appear as if a record has never been inside. NM or M-
(NEAR MINT or MINT MINUS) Very minor signs of wear or cover impressions. Artwork is as close to perfection as possible. EX or VG++
(EXCELLENT or VERY GOOD ++) Minor disc impression or slight corner creases, no wrinkles, puckers, seam splits or writing on the cover. Artwork is clean and unworn and there is no ink wear. VG+
(VERY GOOD PLUS) Cover is clean but may have minor writing or marks and may show slight wear. There may be just the start of ring wear, where the disc has created a raised area on the cover that resulted in the ink wearing off the paper. There may be slight discoloration or staining, minor seam wear, but no splits or tears. Corners may have small creases or fraying. VG
(VERY GOOD) Covers are worn and used. Seams may be starting to split or may have been unobtrusively repaired with clear tape. There is moderate ringwear, but the artwork is still attractive. There may be yellowing or discoloration and there may be larger writing, labels, or marks. Corners may have damage or creases and there may be scratches or gouges that otherwise damage the artwork. G
(GOOD) Several (but not all of the following flaws will apply: Seam splits, large marker writing, major seam splits, significant ring wear, damaged corners, tears, cuts, gouges, masking or duct tape seam repairs, or other flaws and damage. Again, probably only useful to fill a collection niche until something better can be found. F
(FAIR)
P
(POOR) Trash, useable only to keep the record off the floor.
