PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! Enjoy the "Jimi Hendrix Experience" or the "Human Instinct" ? Well, the lesser known yet mighty Swiss "LIVE EXPERIENCE BAND" managed to release 5 albums back in the early 70's including the MOTHER of all flipped-out Hendrix DOUBLE ALBUMS on the world, "Jimi Hendrix Portrait" on the obscure German Ken label. The Live Experience Band BREATHE Jimi Hendrix - so much so, they've formed the essence of Jimi's jam-styled guitar bombardment and multiplied it by FIVE times. So this double album comes across as one Jimi might have made in '67/'68 if letting loose in a trio format; rough, ragged (bass/drums, production) and driven by dirty mean wah-wah explosions: plenty of feedback-fuzzout frenzies, stretched out jamming.
Notes on the album:
Side 1 of the 4 sides, finds blasting through "Voodoo Chile" with double tracked fuzz guitar wildness, and even the vocals sound eerily like Jimi. "Hey Joe" gets more FUZZED-out treatment over the original Jimi Hendrix Experience version going off on a MAMMOTH fuzz guitar solo that kills, reckless abandon and fuzzed-out freakiness.
Then there's this amazing song called "First Trial of the Star Spangled Banner", inspired by Jimi playing of the anthem, throwing down 10 mins of intense/screeching swooping, diving, roaring and screaming guitar,
Side 2 consists of four raw basement garage versions of Hendrix, not quite (but trying) to pack the sonic wallop of Side 1.
Sides 3 and 4 are all originals, inspired by Hendrix with titles like "Cross Electric Town". "Only One Guitar" and the ultimate in wah wah liquidy Hendrix guitar styles reminiscent of "Electric Lady Land" with a funky loose beat.
"Old Man Curtis" is an earthquake-inducing thunderous jam, actually sounding like Cream's "I'm So Glad"; deep bass with flashy guitar, only this time integrated into the sound and not just a showcase.
Onward finds "Born in Slume" , huh? is this a misprint and should have read "Born in Slums" - but no matter, it's a massive funk wah wah acid jammer. Crafted with guitar structures similar to the type Jimi laid down on his extended "Voodoo Chile".
Original 1973 pressing on the German KEN label. Comes to memory having sold a lesser copy in the 1990's for $400
