“The musical content of this album is a statement of where the Love Affair is in

this year 1970 A.D.  It is signed with distinction and style and bear the musical signatures of five young musicians who have grown up 

beyond all expectations since their recorded baptism in January 1968.  This new L.P. Is a confirmation of their present maturity, 

and it’s owning up time, I feel, for those critics who have consistently put the group down.

I have followed their career thus far with a great amount of interest as the Love Affair was one of the

 many unknown groups which came to me, when I was Manager of London’s Marquee Club,

 almost begging for a date.  I should explain to those who may not be aware of these things that 

the Marquee was the place where a group could get a foothold in the great big world of pop music.  

If successful there a group’s reputation would grow in London and then throughout the country.

Although the Love Affair played several dates at the Marquee in 1967, already the musical tide was turning

 and a big new scene was opening up, variously described as the Underground or Progressive.  

The appeal of groups like the Love Affair was to a younger, impressionable audience whose interest 

was superficial and determined by “Top of the Pops” and the blatant publicity that plays a great part 

in the success of a pop group.

With “Everlasting Love” the Love Affair stormed to the top of the charts, and to quote a delicious morsel from

 their official press release “they became the objects of wild adulation.  

Ripped suits and shirts torn from their backs became commonplace and over enthusiastic fans broke through crush barriers

 to climb in stage and throw themselves at their idols”.

It was during this wild period that I would encounter them at such an unlikely musical Mecca as

 Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in the wee small hours of the morning.  The music at Ronnie’s is invariably cool

 and designed for the jazz musician and afficianados.

I detected a distinct change in the group’s musical tastes, with a new maturity both in their musical development 

and their personal Morgan Fisher excels on a variety of keyboard instruments, and Auguste Eadon sings 

with feeling and zest and plays some nifty flute.

Nuff said.  No words of mine can really influence the listener’s true enjoyment, 

but I hope you’ll share my enthusiasm for L.A. Doing their thing on the L.P. In which case these notes will have been of a little help at least”

The LP is in Excellent Condition with just a few slight surface marks and surface scratches.  It plays well.

The Sleeve was blank white and has become unstuck on one side.
