(Professionally & gently cleaned with a Pro-Ject VC-S MkII Vacuum Record Cleaner, then an Ultrasonic bath and finally; gently vacuumed once more)

Being recorded in just 36hrs of recording time at Olympic Studios during September-Oct 1968, the finished Lp was released in the US on the 12th of Jan and in March in the UK, 1969 and...

IT ROCKED THE WORLD!!!

ROCK N ROLL was never to be the same again!!!!

Certainly is one of my top 5 favourite albums of all time....and the ONLY WAY to listen to your fav album is UP LOUD and ON VINYL!

The Vinyl:

QUALITY VINYL

VG+ visually but EX- AUDIO

Being one of my favourite albums of all time, it really wasn't a chore to listen to her all the way through-loud!

Visually the record has just light marks to her-mainly to side 1.

When listening to side 1, I found a slight bit of soft and warming background crackle in the very faint distance-nothing jarring at all. The music blasted out with power and clarity.

Side 2 also plays with clear and powerful clarity throughout and sounds magical.

The guitar breakdown on Your Time Is Gonna Come was beautifully clear-I could imaging Jimmy Page’s fingers working overtime to knock out this signature sound of this album-simply wonderful....And then into the feverish Communication Breakdown, with such urgency and the screaming pain in Robert Plants voice is exquisite..WOW!...I could go on...(I may even keep this baby for myself)

I didn’t find any annoying loud pops throughout playback of either side. Bit of crackle in the side 2 run-out groove, but hey...That’s when you turn her over and play her AGAIN-I did!

Certainly nothing at all to make my SMK arm jump, which was on a very light setting too.

She STILL provided a huge FULL FORCE dynamic audio output-with just incredibly light bit of background crackle only really there when playing LOUD-which I did :).

The Labels:

EX+.

NO writing, stickers or lifting.

They have the original Red & Plum labels, with the corrected Warner Bros. credits at 6 O'clock.

They really are in great condition and are lovely and bright.

I can’t even see faint traces of spindle marks-when angled towards the light-fantastic!

Slim “side one” and “side two” text

Would frame very well indeed.

The Sleeve:

Bright orange lettering to the front.

"UPTIGHT AN' OUTASIGHT" to the back.

There are only around 4 tiny crescents of spidering to the front laminate near the opening, with a small patch of lifting to the top left corner of the spine-which has not broken through.

Remains as vibrant in colour today as it was when born in 1969!

On close inspection I notced a small 1cm split to the bottom seam of the opening-not visible at first and nothing to really worry about.

NO Writing.

The Inner:

ORIGINAL poly-lined inner here-which has certainly done her job.

Has 'MADE IN ENGLAND' printed text to the bottom right corner. As well as the "PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS" box to one side.

Only very slight discolouration from age....Don't we all?!

When taking the photos I noticed a couple of small pen marks to the back of the inner-please see the pics.

The poly-lining remains perfectly intact and still attached to the outer paper.

ALL IN ALL THIS ALBUM IS A SUPERB PRESSING WHICH..
