Description
"Eyes On The Skies" radio show transcription disc issued by The United States Air Force. Two Complete approximately 15 minute programs on this 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/ rpm disc. This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare!
This disc is from an interesting series of shows that was intended to bring attention to the Ground Observer Corps, a volunteer organization dedicated to observing the skies and reporting aircraft. An excellent Cold War era radio program!
Programs feature music by The U. S. Air Force Symphony Orchestra with vocals by The Singing Sergeants
"Eyes On The Skies" radio program #3. This episode features the true story of how a observation post was built in Hartly, Deleware as told by the people of Hartly. Songs include "It's A Grand Night For Singing", "The Blue Tailed Fly". 15 minutes
"Eyes On The Skies" radio program #4. This episode features interviews with real people who joined the Ground Observer Corps - A Salesgirl, A Magazine Editor (E. J. Tangerman) and a person identified only as "Mr. X". Songs include "Hi Neighbor", "God Bless America". 15 minutes

Disc is circa 1950'sDisc is in Excellent Condition with Excellent to Near Mint Sound, beautiful disc!
