You are bidding on an Original Half-Speed Master Recording (Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs ~ CBS) of  The Eagles ~ Hotel California. I purchased this LP right before CDs became popular and as such it has been played only twice: once when I brought it home and once before listing. It is in mint condition with no flaws.

I have had to raise the price of my Master LPs by $15.00 because eBay in their infinite wisdom has decided that I can only charge less than $6.00 to ship an LP. They are not taking into account that these really need to be shipped by USPS Priority Mail (not media) as they are rare recordings that need to be shipped in a special shipping carton with insurance for the purchase price as well as have tracking provided. It actually costs me about that if not that and more to ship these in a way that provides for their protection and insures that they will arrive safely.

This does not include the price of printing my labels at home (paper & ink) or running down to the post office minutes before they close. I go down at that time because the truck is being loaded to take the packages and mail to the nearest sorting facility and this along with my labeling them as “Fragile ~ Handle with Care” and “Do Not Expose to Heat or Pressure” and “Rare Recorded Material” makes sure that they are loaded last and are taken from the truck first or have special handling which does not expose them to the back of a truck.

I have long been an audiophile. I started collecting when I was in high school back in the 1960's and some of my 400+ collection goes back that far. In the 1970's I got serious about collecting and did my best to make sure each stayed in near mint condition. They have always been stored in an LP size bookshelf and kept away from dust, heat, and light. 

All of my LPs are in superb  playing condition as are all the covers and inserts. I do my best to describe my LPs as comp,etely as possible, including anything that may be considered a flaw.

For the past 25 years they have been quite literally stored in a vault. They have been in my basement in a meat locker (not used for meat or refrigerated for 40 years prior) with six inch thick walls and lined with cedar. It always remains cool and since it is used for only important things/collections. It was rare that the door has ever been opened and since it is a sealed room it is dust, pest, and light free.

In the 1080's I took all of my LPs out of the original paper inner sleeve and replaced it with one of the softest rice paper with a clear window so you can see the LP labels. They were then placed back into the original cover with all inserts (posters, slickers, lyric sheets, photos & etc.) And covered with a plastic cover for protection of the LP covers.
                        
I do combine at the actual rate for up to three albums. My shipping cartons do not allow for more. I do not make money on postage (here’s something eBay ought to regulate).

Shipping for this item is FREE and includes Priority Shipping with Delivery Confirmation, insurance for the purchase price, and the special LP mailer.

International bidders need to contact me before bidding for a price quote as shipping is not included except for the first $15.00.  If no contact has been made prior to bidding the LP will be sold to the next highest bidder. I don’t like surprises and you will need to know the price of shipping before you bid.
