This listing is for a mega rare genuine original US copy of the awesome debut album from The Eagles of Death Metal. Led by Jesse Hughes and backed by the legend that is Josh Homme of Queens of The Stone Age. If you are a fan of the latter then you will love this, a lighter more relaxed style of the unique desert rock sound.
The vinyl release of the album was initially only very limited and only available in the US on stunning marbled pink vinyl. This album is heavily bootlegged due to it's rarity but this is a 100% genuine copy from my private collection.
This is one of 3 rare records I am listing from my collection, Led Zep 3 (genuine first) and Beatles White Album (DMM White Coloured Vinyl) being the others. I will only accept offers close to the asking price and if they don't sell in the first month I will gladly put them back in my collection permanently. I don't listen to them very often and the funds could be put to better use (so I'm told...).
This is a lovely example which would make a great collectors piece and investment as they only very rarely come on the market. Currently no examples on international Ebay.
All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players. Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - NM Although it is difficult to visually grade light coloured vinyl, under a bright light there are no flaws apparent. There maybe one light scratch on side 1 but very faint and definitely doesnt affect play. Labels are in good shape although quite amateur in appearance due to the non-mainstream manufacturer. There a couple of stress tears from the spindle hole on side B and a little bit of glue run on side 1, but all would have been there from the factory.
Record Audio - NM This record has only been lightly played in my possession and I don't think previous owners have either. There is little or no surface noise, outside the odd spec of dust maybe. The sound quality is fantastic with big punchy sound you only get from low number production runs.
Record Sleeve - VG+ Being of relative poor quality manufacturer and large black surface area there is some visible ringwear which can't be avoided unfortunately. The spines and edges are in fantastic condition with barely any shelf wear, just a few creases due to the low quality card used. The record is stored in a plain white inner which is in good condition.
