First Edition 1910-1920(no date) ,The Golden Treasury Of Edison Blue Amberol Records, published by the Thomas Edison Inc. of Orange N.J. Cylinder Phonograph Division. This will include along with the catalog all the additional material enclosed in the original mailing, order forms with mailing envelope, an advertisement for new model phonographs ,an instruction sheet for maintaining records and phonographs with lists of supplies that were available. The 82 page catalog is in excellent condition with only a couple of ink spots on 3 pages, the cover is beautiful and the contents are clean and tight. It contains a wealth of information about the history of recorded popular music, the genres are neatly divided into categories including , blues, banjo, comic, country dance, hawaiian, marches, mountaineer ballads, operatic selections, railroad ballads.....all listings include instrumentation on the recordings. The first 13 pages contain a sales pitch entitled " The Real Value of Music" with a photo of Thomas Edison and 3 pages showing the Model 30 ,50 and 75 cylinder phonographs. A very nice edition to any musicologists collection.
