Description

SUPER SCARCE 1970 self produced sound sheet and RARE original psychedelic picture sleeve. Earth Matrix Ltd is the blanket name for the 3 track EP sheet and dates from 1970 from the American University Students Association. Never seen or listed on any site that I can find. Soft psych/acid folk, probably one of about 100 or so pressed. The sleeve shows cannabis plants, mushrooms, breasts and other tokens of the day! KILLER OBSCURE ULTRA SCARCE RECORD! 
Come into my Garden, Patriot Game, and Gently All Around are the tracks listed. You will never see another! 
"This a truly odd one here. This 3- song flexi-disc was made in 1970 on the " EARTH MATRiX LTD." label. It is more on the folky side, the first song is Susan Manning signing"Come into my Garden" to her lover to come into her garden with much double entendre of the poking and sliding and coming lyrics and she sings you can come in via the rear gate if you want to, kind of hokey and cute but still cool. The second song is a long version of "the Patriot Game" with an electric trio ( Jack Purdy,David Taylor, and Donald Colwell with groovy mellow electric guitar licks ala Working Man's Dead or Allman Bros. style. The third song on the flip side is a duo ofWall Matthewsand Mac Walter two acoustic guitars with a song that reminds me alot of some of David Crosby's Byrds tunes ( "Triad "Everyone has been Burned Before")'in both vocals and guitar styling. The picture sleeve is a thicket of Cannabis and Magic Mushrooms. It came with a publication put out by the American University."

WE DIG THE DEEPEST! When in doubt check out youtube for a listen, 'cause these are the coolest and the rarest! What's the big deal about promos?? Well in the case of many major labels, promos were pressed separate from stock copies. In many cases, such as A&M, CBS and MOTOWN etc, they were pressed on pure virgin vinyl, unlike STYRENE which was used for their stock copies. The sound and quality is markedly better and not to mention the rarity of them, in many cases being one out of many thousand copies.
