Description
I was still at school when I purchased this album new, in 1960 and it has been played a lot. The disc is in very good condition and plays perfectly, with minimal surface noise. It has a few only very faint lines on the surfaces and five pressing faults, 1-1.5mm dia. shallow dimples on side 2. The thick card outer sleeve is sound, without splits, tears or creases. Clear tape, now removed, has resulted in some staining and surface damage on the back, see pic. 3.
Tracks: Memories of You (4.23), East Coasting (5.10), West Coast Ghost (10.29), Celia (7.50), Conversation (5.25), Fifty-First Street Blues (5.45). Recorded 6 Aug.1957 New York City Personnel: Mingus bass, Jimmy Knepper tbn., Shafi Hadi (Curtis Porter) alto & tenor, Clarence Shaw tpt., Dannie Richmond drums, Bill Evans piano.
Genuine concerns regarding description will be sympathetically received.
