Original UK Harvest label stereo press LP.

This is the fourth East Of Eden studio LP released in November 1971. The band had been with Deram, but during touring in 1970 following the success of their second album Snafu, Geoff Nicholson & Ron Caines quit. This left Dave Arbus as the only original member to carry on with new band members after being signed by Harvest in late 1970. The album was mostly written by Davy Jack and had a more country feel to many tracks, but Dave Arbus's violin still features, especially on the first track, Bison Hunter.

This copy has the Harvest/EMI label & 'Gramophone Co Ltd' rim text and A-3 B-3 matrices & 1-R 1-T stampers of the very 1st pressings.

The Garrod & Lofthouse matt sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some corner/edge wear and some light storage rubbing on the outer cover. The inner cover has some very light storage rubbing. The spine is intact and fully readable, the Harvest inner is intact & in VG+ condition.   The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only a couple of faint & wispy sleeve removal hairlines and neeedle scuffs visible on each side that do not affect play. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with no evidence of spindle markings.   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very low background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud & clear listen.  

The matrix nos. are; SHVL-796, A-3 mother stamper 1-R, B-3 mother stamper 1-T.
This is one of the early copies of the original 1971 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
