Description

For sale is this double vinyl 2xLP compilation entitled 'Easy Tempo Vol 2 - The Psycho Beat' released on Right Tempo Records RTCL 816 in 1996. The record is a solid Mint all round. Both vinyls are beautiful glossy unplayed and the sleeve  is in Mint- condition.
An awesome compilation of Fuzzed out funky soundtrack music from numerous Italian movies, This follow-up to the trendsetting Italian lounge music compilation Easy Tempo, Vol. 1 differs from its predecessor by narrowing its stylistic focus. Subtitled "The Psycho Beat," Easy Tempo, Vol. 2 focuses on short, punchy instrumentals that have a psychedelic bent to them. For a compilation that is considered to be lounge, a lot of the tracks on this disc are surprisingly heavy and rock-oriented: Nino De Luca's "La Ragazza Con La Pistola" is a sitar-oriented track beefed up by hard-hitting drum fills, fuzz guitar, and an out-of-control voice screeching "girl with the gun!," while Mario Molino's "Jerk Beat" layers disorienting waves of guitar feedback and distorted keyboards over a frantic, fast-paced drum beat. Much of this music sounds like it was most likely designed for suspense sequences or drug-related freak-out scenes. Thankfully, heavy-hitting tracks like these are paced by moodier instrumentals that convey the same level of tension with softer sounds: Gianni Oddi's "Geronimo" presents a synth-layered funk groove that is disrupted by honking saxophone and tribal-style drum breaks, while Piero Umiliani's "Fotomodelle" uses a combination of cooing female vocals and grunting male vocals to sketch out its melody over a mid-tempo, organ-laced groove. solid listening for lounge buffs, and those already fond of the Italian lounge sound will find plenty to enjoy here!

I use a high-end Turntable to play my records and also use a Record Cleaning machine so you can be assured that discs I own have been well looked after. Please know, however, that many records in my collection are older than I am and have come to me second hand. That is why I use the Record Collector Rating system.

I grade very strictly by the Record Collector system. I do not sell records that are less than VG+. I am also a collector and know that there is nothing worse than a poorly graded record.

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

I use PREMIUM QUALITY record mailers and cardboard stiffeners. I do NOT add the cost of these mailers to shipping (no hidden fees here--you only pay what I pay for shipping). It is my hope that you will re-use the mailers for LPs or other items.
