Echo & The Bunnymen The John Peel Sessions 1979-1983 Ltd Numbered Red Vinyl Mint Rare
Up for grabs we have a copy of Echo & The Bunnymen’s 2019 compilation double LP of all of the sessions the band recorded for John Peel’s Radio 1 Show between 1879-1983 on numbered limited edition red vinyl in mint condition.
Only 500 copies were pressed on red vinyl as a special numbered Rhino Records handmade limited edition with an A5 numbered insert card and are extremely rare and highly collectable. A brilliant band and a terrific collection, this double LP is the perfect addition to any Echo & The Bunnymen collection.
The barcode on the rear of the sleeve bears the number: 0190295494957, the red vinyl copies have a sticker on the rear of the shrink wrap placed over the area bearing the number: 0190295460211, which identifies the red vinyl copies.
This copy was opened on one side merely to check the contents and is one of the 1st 100 of the 500 numbered copies (I’ve blanked out the actual number of this copy in the photo to surprise the winner). The shrink wrapped gatefold sleeve, records, plain black poly lined inner sleeves and insert card are all in mint condition.
John Peel loved the band and often when a session had been booked it spurred the band into action to write some new songs.
For guitarist Will Sergeant it wasn’t commercial success that excited him - “We had been given the ultimate accolade, Peel rated us. This to me was more important than any chart position or appearance on TOTP or any other show. I loved John Peel for inviting us to do sessions and for what he and the show had done for us, and I will never forget that.”
