Description

An original 1968 1st press 'Eclection' on UK Electra. matrix A2/B1. Labels are consistent with 1st press.. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day stereo gatefold cover. We also have the correct 'patents applied for' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In super condition and has only seen light careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Be careful with this title! It's fully acoustic and you're going to need a really clean copy to stand half a chance of a decent rendition. And that's what we have here. Plays clean as a whistle throughout. Maybe a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots. But this is as darn clean a copy as you could hope for. It allows you to fully appreciate this masterpiece without anything interfering or distracting with the listeners enjoyment. Love it! It doesn't get any better than this... a time piece which would make any discerning collector very happy to own.
Cover (Ex) I can imagine this title being a bit tricky to find in top level condition. The exteriors are probably going to be ok - but that interior is likely to age after this passage of time. I'm pleased to report this example is superb inside and out. Front and rear are flat clean and shiny. There's precious little sign of creasing or handling - very impressive. Inside the story is even better with almost no sign of ageing. A really sweet looking copy with hardly any edge wear and sharpish openings. The spine is almost fully intact with  just one stress crease. Overall the cover retain excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits though.
