Description
RCA Victor 48-0001. Texarkana Baby/ Bouquet of Roses. In 1948 Columbia Records released the first microgroove record. They allowed their technology to be used by anyone with no charge because they wanted the new format to take off as fast as possible. Sounds pretty tempting but RCA had a problem. They knew that if they used what Columbia had created they would appear to be the inferior company. The solution was that RCA invented the 45 in 1949. The first wave of releases were color coded vinyl by genre. Country was released on green vinyl. This Eddie Arnold record was the very first Country single released as a 45.
The 45 grades VG++ with just very slight wear. This is definitely a time capsule record because it's in such nice shape it's tough to believe it's as old as it is. A sound clip of the entire A-side has been provided. Also comes with the RCA Company sleeve. This copy would be extremely tough to upgrade.

GRADING
Near Mint or Mint Minus - A top copy with the most minimal of wear.
VG++ - Not quite near mint, but a super clean, desirable copy.
VG+ - Shows signs of wear but no significant defects.
VG - Obvious signs of wear but it still has life in it. VG does not mean beat.
VG minus - Moderate to heavy wear. OK if you need a filler copy.
G - Borders on unplayable - don't be be bothered unless it's very rare.
